Business Administration Major
There is a movie scene of Jennifer Anniston running around a corporate headquarters that has been stuck in my head since I was young. I do not recall the title of that film, the rest of the plot, or any other events or actors, but I do remember thinking how incredible the world of business looked. Don’t worry, I did not choose a path in business just from a movie. What has always intrigued me about business, and has continued to today is the relationships. How valuable knowing your customer is, or knowing how to speak to your colleague. My empathy, and genuine interest in others is what sets me a part from other Business Administration Majors, and I can't wait to begin my time as a business leader post graduation.
Conflict Management Minor
I came to understand empathy as an asset in business at my first sales job at age sixteen, and realized my own ability to deeply connect when I was coined as my friends’ informal “therapist” and voted “Most Like a Mom” in my senior year of high school. While this may seem like a foolish superlative to some, these labels speak to my preparedness and ability to solve problems compassionately. A career in psychology has always intrigued me, but I do not feel as though a career in this field will position me to make the sizable impact that I wish to make on the world. I want to give back and touch the lives of more people than just a few clients in my work. I know that following a path in business will give me the platform to do just that.
Entrepreneurship Minor
I started a profitable business at 7 years old. While if I got in front of a sewing machine today, I wouldn't even know how to turn it on, I've found a new place to focus my entrepreneurial efforts: Gift Giving. Niche, I know, but after working with a Corporate Gifting firm, and working through the early stages of my own gifting start-up...I feel called to building something that makes someones day brighter. I hope to own my own business one day. A business that I can eventually grow to a point of philanthropic presence. Since I was young giving back has been important to me, and I hope in my entrepreneurial ventures, that remains as one of my core values.

TEACHERS ASSISTANT-LAUNCHING THE VENTURE
After successfully completing intensive customer discovery, pitching, and soft-launching an idea for an online gift-giving start-up in class, I was asked to assist in the teaching of the course itself. I've thoroughly enjoyed sitting in on such an insightful and inspiring class for the second time around, and have loved helping students brainstorm and hop over the hurdles of the start-up world....especially when it comes to the marketing + messaging!
KENAN-FLAGLER STAR PROGRAM
UNDERGRADUATE AMBASSADOR
Being involved in the STAR Program as a student in the Spring of 2022 was a life-changing experience. I recognized the value in the program early on and really leaned into my project because of it. I became my MBA Project Lead's right-hand man. I stayed up late hours of the night perfecting our deliverables for the client partner. And I always came to the table with energy and creative ideas. My dedication, attitude, and strengths were recognized and I was asked to help students who will be embarking on their STAR projects this year. I cannot wait to mentor these students and be there for them with any type of support.
