For anyone who is not familiar with the term, I first heard it used by founder and CEO of The Giftology Group, John Ruhlin. He has transformed the way that many corporations do, and think about business because of the way that he views relationships.
Working on The Giftology team, I have seen first hand what being radically generous can do increase referrals, or get you in with a top prospect, but more than in the corporate world, I have seen what Radical Generosity can do in everyday life.
Radical Generosity is something that I've been practicing for years. Not to yield results, but to just be nice. And much like a business, I've seen it transform my own life.
I've strengthened friendships.
I've obtained new opportunities.
And, I feel good about the way that I live. Looking for ways to help, or brighten someones day every step of the way.
And I just made a little move of radical generosity this morning, so I thought that I would share:
After overhearing my roommate mention her craving for a Starbucks vanilla latte yesterday, I got up before her, and surprised her with one. So Easy. Radically Generous. And it left the biggest smile on her face.
Make the people around you feel appreciated and supported. That extra Starbucks coffee is always worth it.
